Weyz – Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Weyz. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Weyz platform, including our website and related services (collectively referred to as the "System").
By accessing or using the System, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and by all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of the Philippines.
1. Legal Compliance
This System is developed and operated in accordance with the following laws and guidelines:
- Republic Act No. 10173 – Data Privacy Act of 2012
- Republic Act No. 10175 – Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012
- Guidelines of the National Privacy Commission (NPC)
2. Definitions
"System" – Refers to the Weyz platform, including its website, applications, and related services.
"User" – Any individual who accesses, browses, or uses the System.
"Personal Data" – Any information that directly or indirectly identifies an individual (e.g., name, email address, phone number).
"Location Data" – Geographical data collected from a user's device.
"Reports" – Any submissions made by users, including incident reports or other forms of user-provided information.
3. User Responsibilities
By using the System, you agree to:
3.1. Provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information.
3.2. Refrain from submitting false, malicious, or unlawful reports.
3.3. Secure your account credentials and prevent unauthorized access.
3.4. Immediately report any data breach, unauthorized access, or suspicious activity.
4. Data Collection and Use
We collect and process the following types of data:
Personal Data – For identity verification, communication, and proper documentation.
Location Data – Used for validating reports, enabling location-based services, and improving system functionality. Map data is powered by Leaflet OpenStreetMap Contributors.
Reports – For case management, analytics, monitoring, and response.
All data collection and usage are done in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and only for legitimate and lawful purposes.
5. Data Storage and Retention
5.1. All data are securely stored in encrypted databases that comply with Philippine data protection standards.
5.2. Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill its intended purpose or as required by law.
5.3. Once no longer needed, data will be securely deleted or anonymized following NPC guidelines.
6. Data Protection and Security
We implement reasonable and appropriate physical, organizational, and technical measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data, including:
- Encryption of data at rest and in transit
- Access control limited to authorized personnel
- Regular audits and monitoring of security systems
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Your data may only be shared under the following conditions:
7.1. With authorized personnel for legitimate system operations
7.2. With government agencies, when legally required
7.3. With third-party service providers, subject to confidentiality and data protection agreements
We do not sell or disclose personal data for commercial purposes.
8. Reports and Submissions
8.1. Users are responsible for ensuring that all submitted reports are truthful, lawful, and accurate.
8.2. We reserve the right to verify, review, and take necessary action on submitted reports, including removal or escalation to authorities.
9. Unauthorized Use and Violations
Unauthorized use of the System is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Hacking or attempting to breach security
- Misuse or falsification of reports
- Unauthorized access to accounts or data
- Violations of user privacy or data protection laws
Consequences include:
9.1. Immediate suspension or termination of account
9.2. Permanent ban from the System
9.3. Reporting to authorities such as the National Privacy Commission, NBI Cybercrime Division, or PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group
9.4. Possible civil and/or criminal liability under:
- RA 10173 – Data Privacy Act of 2012
- RA 10175 – Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012
9.5. Indemnification – Users agree to indemnify and hold Weyz harmless from any damages, costs, or legal consequences resulting from their misuse of the System.
10. Limitation of Liability
Weyz shall not be held liable for:
- Any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access due to user negligence
- Downtime, outages, or cyber incidents beyond our reasonable control
Use of the System is at your own risk.
11. Amendments to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to comply with legal or operational changes. Users will be notified via the System or registered email. Continued use of the System constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Consent and Acknowledgment
By using the Weyz System, you:
13.1. Acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions
13.2. Give your consent for the lawful collection, use, storage, and processing of your personal data, location data, and reports in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012
13.3. Understand that you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our DPO, subject to existing legal and contractual obligations
